Anthony Joshua Next Opponent and Location Near Complete

Yesterday it seemed all but set that Anthony Joshua would have his rematch against Wladimir Klitschko on November 11th in Las Vegas. Earlier today, Klitschko called an end to his legendary career leaving the Heavyweight champion without an opponent.

While it will not be UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic, Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn told London’s Daily Mail that it will be Kubrat Pulev in a mandatory defense. And while the target date for the fight will either be October 28th or November 11th, the location for the fight seems to be set as Hearn was quoted to say…

“We need to sort out the final details, but the venues don’t change. It will still be Vegas or Cardiff, with Cardiff probably the frontrunner.”

And while the Klitschko rematch would have been another amazing stage for Joshua, following his victory in front of 90,000 people at London’s Wembley Stadium, Hearn is disappointed professionally but happy personally.

“But from a personal perspective, I am happy for Wladimir. He has had a tremendous career and leaves with a great legacy, in great health and with everything he needs in life. He could’ve made millions for this fight, but he already has millions.”
