Bellator 167 Weigh-In
Just as the fighters competing on tonight’s Bellator 166 card did yesterday, the fighters competing at Bellator 167 weighed in earlier today at the WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
The main event will see Darrion Caldwell face Joe Taimanglo in a bantamweight bout. The two previously met at Bellator 159 in July. While Caldwell performed well in the first two rounds, Taimanglo caught him in a guillotine choke at the start of the third round, getting the submission nine seconds in. With Caldwell entering that July bout with a 9-0 record and a 14:1 favorite, it was considered one of the bigger upsets in MMA history.
Taimanglo’s win streak increased to four with that win, and he will now look to use the rematch to push it to five.
