Borg vs. Moreno Postponed Once Again
Ray Borg vs. Brandon Moreno has been postponed once again, according to a report.
MMA Fighting reports that Borg will not travel to Chile to fight Moreno in order to focus on his newborn son, who recently underwent two surgeries due to the brain condition hydrocephalus. Borg has been active on social media regarding his son’s condition during the week.

Unfortunately Anthony needs to go back into surgery. The shunt was placed in a spot of his brain that just doesn’t quite work for him. Due to the high possibility of failure of the shunt the doctor ordered to have him back in the operating room for replacement of the shunt. 🙏🏼 pic.twitter.com/JgqYtJLoWD

Thank you to everyone for their positive thoughts and prayers during this time and much thank you to the Children’s hospital of Colorado and all of their staff. Anthony’s surgery was a success. 🙏🏼 pic.twitter.com/vOMyel78Sg

This isn’t the first time a fight between Borg and Moreno has been postponed. The two were originally supposed to fight in February but Moreno suffered an injury which postponed the bout. Borg vs. Moreno was then moved to UFC 223 but that fight was also postponed in the aftermath of Conor McGregor’s rampage at the Barclays Center. Borg was not medically cleared to fight at UFC 223 and so the fight got moved to the UFC Chile card.
UFC Chile will take place on May 19 at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile and will be headlined by Demian Maia vs. Kamaru Usman.
