Broner Arrested in “Bullet-Ridden” SUV
Controversial professional boxer and former four-division champion Adrien Broner was arrested on an open warrant in Cincinnati late last night. According to the police reports, Broner was found in an SUV riddled with bullet holes at the time of the arrest.
USA Today and FOX 19’s Jennifer Baker reported the news of the arrest.
Broner was released at 5:03 AM on Thursday morning and is scheduled to appear in court on April 27.
The boxer was kept in custody overnight after the Cincinnati police found him a Chevrolet Suburban that had been shot about eight times. Broner did not have any injuries at the time of his arrest.
The police had heard reports of shots fired prior to finding Broner, who told them that someone had followed him from a bar on Queen City Avenue and shot at the vehicle.
The reason for Broner’s arrest is an open warrant from 2014 concerning an arrest for alcohol intoxication in a public place and disorderly conduct.
It is the latest in a long line of run-ins with the law from Broner, who was in court multiple times last years for assault and aggravated robbery charges.
