Broner Public Workouts Cancelled & Presser Moved

One day after Adrien Broner got into a very hostile social media battle with rapper Tekashi69, the public workouts for Broner’s fight with Jessie Vargas have been cancelled.

The open workout, which was set for Gleason’s gym has been cancelled, and Thursday’s press conference originally set for the Highline Ballroom, is now being moved to Barclays Center.

On Monday, Broner and the New York rapper, blasted each other on Instagram regarding the rainbow haired rapper calling Broner a “clown.” Both men exchanged violent threats, including Tekashi69 demanding Broner “check in” with him when he comes to Brooklyn.

While many believe the cancellation was due to Tekashi claiming to be a well-connected member of the Bloods,  a Showtime rep told TMZ that Broner’s actions nor Broner personally backed out of public events, and that it was changed their publicity strategy.
