Budd Retains, McDonald And Dantas Injured At Bellator 202
At the Winstar Resort and Casino, Bellator kicked off a two days of events, with Bellator 202.
In the main event Julia Budd would walk in and out of Oklahoma as the Bellator featherweight champion, as she would stop challenger Talita Nogueira with less than a minute remaining in the third round.
Budd would not get into rhythm against late into the first round, the champion would impress against one of the last major challengers standing in her way as she looks to run the table in the featherweight division.
In the evening’s semi-main event, Michael McDonald would only need 58 seconds to defeat Eduardo Dantas, but also only a minute to break a hand for the second time in as many fights in Bellator.
McDonald would catch Dantas off-guard with a leg kick to start the fight, and then land a shot on the jaw causing Dantas to trip over and break his left ankle leading to a vicious ground and pound to stop the fight and break his hand.
