Covington, a current member of American Top Team was interviewed by Impact Wrestling’s Josh Matthews calls out Woodley for a welterweight title fight. The tweet, which lists a twitter account that is not Woodley’s, was sent out Tuesday afternoon.
This video comes after Covington’s controversial victory over Demian Maia at UFC Brazil. Following the fight, Covington in very pro wrestling fashion, ran down the crowd and the country of Brazil before being led out by security as garbage was thrown at him.
Covington is in Ottawa with ATT members King Mo, Bobby Lashley, and founder Dan Lambert who have been appearing on the wrestling promotion’s television program. The ATT members have been feuding with former UFC fighter, Stephan Bonnar and former New England Patriot Quinn “Moose” Ojinnaka.
