Dana Claims Conor-Khabib Pressers Are Coming

With less than a month until Conor McGregor returns to the Octagon from UFC 229 to face off against Khabib Nurmagomedov. While this is considered to be the biggest fight in UFC history, there has been a minimal amount of hype from either fighter, and only promotional packages from the UFC.

There has been the persistent rumor that McGregor is refusing to do media leading up to the October 6th showdown at the T-mobile Arena, using his time to prepare for undisputed lightweight champion. While McGregor may be shunning the spotlight, UFC President Dana White told TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter that press conferences for the much-hyped title fight are coming.

”There’s going to be a couple of press conferences,” he said during UFC 228 weekend. “That’ll all be announced after this fight. We’ll do this fight and then we’ll announce all the stuff that’s going on with Conor and Khabib. Nothing like [the MayMac World Tour]. There won’t be any … we should have, but there won’t be enough time.”

”These guys, first of all this is the toughest fight of both of their careers and these guys need time to train and get ready for this fight. It’s a month away. But we’re gonna have some good stuff for the press and for the fans.”

UFC 229 goes down October 6th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
