Dana: Jon Jones Not In Play For UFC 230

While Jon Jones may be eligible to return as soon as UFC 230, it does not mean that the New York native will headline the UFC’s return to Madison Square Garden.

In the aftermath of Wednesday’s decision, UFC President Dana White told ESPN that Jones is not on the docket for the event, which is yet to have a main event for the card.

Jones would be given a 15 month suspension, cut down significantly from the maximum 48 month sentence for two time offenders of the UFC/USADA drug policy, and is eligible to fight on October 28th.

White made it clear that he is happy for Jones to return… In 2019.
