Fighter Suffers Scary Self-Inflicted KO

The self-inflicted knockout is rare to see in MMA, but this may be the first instance where one led to the fighter in question not being able to physically walk out of the cage.

On Feb. 2, at the CES 48 event at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island, middleweights Timothy Woods and Tim Caron were locked in a clinch battle when Woods attempted to sweep his opponent. But when the two landed in a slam, Woods landed on his own head, knocking himself unconscious.

While Woods was talking coherently and had the ability to move his limbs, he was stretchered out of the arena.
