Finkel Talks Issues With Wilder-Joshua Contract
Two points stand in between there being the first undisputed world heavyweight champion in two decades, as Deontay Wilder awaits clarification from Anthony Joshua.
In a story first reported by World Boxing News, Shelly Finkel said that he and Wilder requested clarification on two points from Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn, before they would sign a deal.
Finkel confirmed that the contract was delivered later than expected, and less than 24 hours later Finkel had two points they needed reaffirmed.
“We looked at the contract on Monday and raised two specific details in the paperwork that we needed clarification of,” Finkel exclusively told World Boxing News.
“It’s frustrating as Eddie Hearn is stating in the media that we need to be quick and sign the contract, but how can we sign if they don’t respond to our email and clarify our concerns?
“If we are being rushed we really need to hear back from Barry in order to be able to complete things on our side,” he added.
