Fury Confirms Negoatiations With Wilder

With a few weeks remaining until he returns to the ring, Tyson Fury says he’s in deep negotiations for a fight with Deontay Wilder in December.

Fury, who returned to the ring with a pummeling of Sefer Seferi in June, will have another tune up fight on August 18th against Francesco Paneta.

Fury claimed he’s in talks with Wilder on Monday, saying: “I can confirm that me and Deontay Wilder are in negotiations. [It is] very close to being done.

“I can reveal that negotiations have been very strong for December. We are almost done with this deal.

“But I won’t be looking over Francesco Pianeta. He is going to give me the right fight and the right work to prepare me for Wilder.”

Wilder has been in very public negotiations with Anthony Joshua, but Joshua deferred to fight Alexander Povetkin next on September 22nd, teasing an April unification showdown at Wembley Stadium.
