Fury Wants Better Competition in August

Former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will be making a quick turnaround by returning to the ring in August, and he wants stiffer competition.

It was two weeks ago when Fury returned to the ring for the first time since his November 2015 upset championship win over Wladimir Klitschko. Fury stopped Sefer Seferi in a less-than-well-received bout in Manchester, England, back on June 9.

Fury plans on fighting again on August 18 as part of the undercard for Carl Frampton vs. Luke Jackson in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

“Last time I boxed [in Belfast] was six years ago, and it’s always been very welcoming,” Fury said. “It’s going to be even more welcoming as a returning world champion. I hope this time I’m going to get someone who’s going to have a fight with me, punch me in the face a couple of times, give me a busted nose and a busted mouth.”
