Hari Signs Exclusive Deal with GLORY

GLORY Kickboxing announced that it has signed a new, exclusive deal with heavyweight kickboxing star Badr Hari.(106-13, 92 KO), who will return to the promotion in 2018.

Hari will headline the GLORY 51 event, which takes place on March 3 at the Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands. His opponent, as well as additional match-ups for GLORY 51, are to be announced.

“[It’s] a new year; expect great things in GLORY,” Hari said. “For the sake of the public and the sport, we are on the way.”

Hari was last seen in GLORY back at GLORY Collision in December 2016, when he faced GLORY Heavyweight Champion Rico Verhoeven. Verhoeven won the bout when Hari suffered an arm injury and could not continue in the second round.

Hari, over his 17-year career, has produced many knockouts against well-known opponents such as Peter Aerts, Semmy Schilt, and current UFC and MMA superstar Alistair Overeem.

“Badr’s back and we’re delighted to add his skills and the excitement he brings to our heavyweight division. It’s time for GLORY!” Vice-Chairman of GLORY Scott Rudmann said.
