Jackson vs. King Mo II at Bellator 175

During the main card of Bellator 170, an announcement was made of the date and main event scheduled for Bellator 175.

Bellator 175 will take place on March 31, and the main event will see a rematch between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal. The two previously met in the main event of Bellator’s one and only pay-per-view event, Bellator 120, in May 2014. Jackson won the bout via unanimous decision.

Since that bout, Jackson has only fought in MMA twice — once in 2015 and again in 2016. On April 25, 2015, Jackson competed at UFC 186, defeating Fabio Maldonado by unanimous decision in a 215-pound catchweight bout. At Bellator 157: Dynamite 2, back on June 24, 2016, Jackson defeated Satoshi Ishii via split decision.

After losing to Jackson, King Mo produced a noted winning streak, scoring victories over the likes of Dustin Jacoby and Cheick Kongo, while also winning the 2015 RIZIN heavyweight Grand Prix. Unfortunately for Lawal, 2016 was not as well for him. Smacked between his own victory over Ishii, Lawal failed to defeat Phil Davis at Bellator 154, and he was recently defeated by Mirko Cro Cop at the 2016 RIZIN Openweight Grand Prix.

The location of Bellator 175 is expected to be announced shortly.
