Jones Blasts UFC For Giving Cormier GOAT Status

On Wednesday evening, the UFC’s Twitter account asked if Daniel Cormier defeated Stipe Miocic at UFC 226, would he be considered one of the greatest of all time.

The man who beat Cormier twice, Jon Jones, did not take to this kindly.

Jones, who has not fought since defeating Cormier at UFC 214, has been sitting on the sidelines awaiting his punishment from USADA, for failing an in-competition drug test. The win against Cormier would be stricken from the record, and Cormier would be given back his UFC light heavyweight title. The now, former champion lost his license to fight in the state of California earlier in 2018, and has been awaiting what could be a four year suspension from the UFC’s anti-doping partner.

That has not stopped Jones from being rumored in a fight with Brock Lesnar, offering to help Tyron Woodley to train against former college roommate Colby Covington, and more recently calling out any conversation of Cormier being an all-time great.
