Joshua Attacks Wilder & Fury On Twitter
It seems that Anthony Joshua has had enough of the barbs of WBC champion Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, as the British heavyweight attacked both men on Twitter, Thursday.
Joshua has refrained from responding to the social media barbs of Fury, and has been very calm in regards to Wilder’s claims, but took both to task for holding up negotiations to fight Joshua in 2018.
He then rounded on Fury – who has not been seen in the ring since November 2015 – writing: “Get fit you fat f***.”
Responding to the WBA, IBO and IBF unified champ on Instagram, Fury said: “It’s a new one because he usually doesn’t swear and tries to not be himself.
“He’s being himself now which is good. I really don’t need to get fit for you, put it that way To be honest with you me ole mate, I don’t need to get fit for somebody like you.
“I could come to you and I could punch all of your face right in for you – even at 25st. I really don’t need to get fit for you, put it that way. I’ve seen what you’re about, you just fought a midget the other day in a hard fight.
“The referee had to stop it in case you got caught or beat. Bum city, like I always said.”
Joshua retained in Wales in his most recent Carlos Takam in October, during a mandatory defense of his heavyweight titles, stopping the Frenchman in controversial style in the 10th round.
Takam, 36, claimed the referee pulled him out of the fight too early, despite heavy cuts above both of his eyes.
Wilder seems to be the name next on Joshua’s list, as promoter Eddie Hearn confirming negotiations will begin for a heavyweight unification fight.
