Khabib Gets Hero’s Welcome In Hometown
After a week where he dealt with three different opponents, confrontations with Conor McGregor and his team, and going five rounds with Al Iaquinta, undisputed UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov returned to Dagestan on Monday.
Upon landing, Nurmagomedov was treated with a hero’s welcome, looking more like the Beatles landing in New York City, than a fighter returning home.

It will be a while until Nurmagomedov will defend his title in the Octagon, as the new lightweight champion, as he will observe Ramadan, beginning on May 16th, ending in June.
