Khabib Granted Continuance In UFC 229 Riot Case

The UFC’s lightweight champion’s future is still uncertain, as Khabib Nurmagomedov was granted a continuance by the Nevada Athletic Commission on Monday.

Nurmagomedov was granted a continuance regarding he and Conor McGregor’s brawl following his fourth round submission victory at UFC 229 in October. The current 155 pound champion was set to have his hearing on Monday, but given a continuance following both his legal team and the state were unable to come to terms on an adjudication agreement.

Per Nevada Commission Executive Director, Bob Bennett, the commission will next meet on January 29th, with both Nurmagomedov and McGregor’s hearings most likely to be on the docket.

McGregor was granted a similar continuance last week regarding Nurmagomedov, McGregor and members of both fighter’s camps getting into a brawl at the T-Mobile Arena in October.
