Klitschko Gives Wilder Edge Against Joshua

Wladimir Klitschko feels that Anthony Joshua could easily handle Tyson Fury. But when it comes to WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, Klitschko feels the British star would have some trouble.

“It would be a dangerous fight for Joshua,” Klitschko told The Sunday Times in an interview at the weekend. “I’m not saying he wouldn’t win it but Wilder has something. Due to his weight, he is extremely fast.

“He is hard to defend against – where is that punch going to land or which side is it coming from? Joshua has all-around more capability but Wilder is taller than Joshua and is faster than Joshua.

“He doesn’t have the weight behind his punches but he is extremely fast, and it would depend upon what kind of mood both fighters were in,” he added.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, is flying to New York next week for Daniel Jacobs event in Brooklyn, and hopes to continue negotiations with Wilder’s team for a clash later this year.
