Krisztian Wins Gold In Hungary

After three days of competition in Budapest, host nation Hungary would see their native son Toth Krisztian win gold in the -90kg category.

Fellow Hungarian judoka, Karakas Hedvig and Szabo Frigyes would walk away with bronze, as Ungvati Miklos would take gold in Budapest at 37 years old.

Krisztian was elated upon beating Georgian, Ushangi Margiani for the gold.

“I wanted as many matches as possible, I really wasn’t thinking about a medal,” TOTH told IJF commentator Sheldon Franco-Rooks.

“Winning the first gold medal since the birth of my baby really gives me a great feeling. Now I will focus on Tata where I will go for the international training camp to prepare for the World Championships in Baku.”
