Lara-Castano Draws 530K Viewers
Erislandy Lara’s star seems to be on the rise, as the Cuban boxer’s return to the ring saw a high audience than his “Fight of the Year” against Jarrett Hurd.
Per Nielsen, Lara’s 12-round draw against Brian Castano reached a peak audience of 530,000 viewers for Saturday night’s Showtime Championship Boxing main event.
With an average audience of 487,000 watches as Castano would remain WBA super welterweight champion, while the two would get a split decision draw.
In comparison to his April 7th loss to Jarrett Hurd, the Showtime broadcast would draw a peak viewership of 521,000 viewers, with an average of 490,000 viewers watching the fight airing from Las Vegas, Nevada.
