A year after Paulie Malignaggi would be knocked down in a sparring session with Conor McGregor, the two would return to sniping at one another on social media.
Malignaggi, who would retire earlier this year as an active boxer, was hired to help McGregor prepare for his much anticipated boxing debut.
Following a photo and later video of the Brooklyn born boxer on the ground were leaked, Malignaggi would quit the team. Malignaggi would also call the photo a “dishonest” picture of the session.
On Saturday, McGregor would retweet a photo on the one year anniversary of the incident with the caption,”Time flies when you are on your a**.”
“Dude has had two kids and an a** kicking since this [sparring session] and he still lives off a fake knockdown that he knows wasn’t real,” Malignaggi said in retort on Twitter.
“[Conor McGregor], your feelings are still hurt? Don’t get your feelings hurt you lil b***h its still our lil secret. Don’t run for your life when they ring the bell.”
“McGregor, don’t let the inner b***h in you come out. We all know you’re gonna pull out the Khabib fight at the last minute or spend the whole fight runnin for your life like you did in round five of the [Nate] Diaz rematch. You have No B***S and you think of me one year on cause the reality of my words burns you.
