McGregor-Mayweather Prelims To Feature Porter

Coming off a stoppage win over Andrew Berto this past April, former welterweight champion Shawn Porter will make his return to the ring on August 26th.   Porter will be featured as part of a two match preliminary card airing on Fox prior to the undercard of  the highly anticipated Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor showdown.

Porter, who is the mandatory challenger to WBC Welterweight champion Keith Thurman was in a holding pattern after Thurman underwent surgery on his right elbow in May. The former Welterweight Champion is now set to face off against Thomas Dulorme as a part of a two match preliminary card airing live on FOX and FOX Deportes prior to the August 26th undercard in Las Vegas.

It will be a test for Dulorme who at one point was considered to be a top prospect at the 140 pound weight class. And with two losses to Luis Carlos Abregu in 2012 at welterweight, and a loss to Terence Crawford at 140 in 2015, some see this as the last chance for the Puerto Rico native.
