McGregor Training At American Top Team

Since making his stay in the United States, Conor McGregor has been training for his alleged return to the Octagon at American Top Team and not returning home to the Straight Blast Gym in Ireland.

While rumors have crept out that there was a rift between the former UFC champion and his coach John Kavanagh, teammate and BKFC fighter Artem Lobov denies the allegations.

“No, Conor is still with us, we are all still a part of SBG,” Lobov told host Jason Kindschy on the latest episode of BJPENN.COM Radio.

“The thing is that many of the SBG fighters that have kind of retired now or whatever, they have opened their own SBG gyms. So we all will often train not only at the main SBG but other SBG gyms. For example, Peter Queally opened SBG Naas and that’s a great facility, so Conor and many of us would often train there. There’s SBG D24 with Paddy Holohan; we’ve got many SBGs now so as a result it may seem sometimes that we’re not all there at SBG HQ, but we still are all a part of SBG.”

McGregor has trained recently at SBG Naas while at home in Ireland, but seems to have made ATT his home away from home during his United States tour for Proper Twelve whiskey.

It remains to be seen where McGregor trains prior to a rumored July return to the Octagon, but if Lobov words ring true, McGregor and Kavanagh will go on one more ride.
