Mike Jackson Wants Punk, Rufus Supports
CM Punk’s second UFC bout has been to be determined for a long time now, though Punk has kept himself busy by earning his blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
While no opponent, let alone if Punk will be given another chance by the UFC again, has been announced for the former WWE champion’s second MMA bout, one name has come up: Mike Jackson.
Jackson fought Mickey Gall in the “CM Punk Sweepstakes” bout back in February 2016, with Gall defeating Jackson via submission in just 45 seconds. It was Jackson’s first and only professional MMA bout, let alone UFC bout, thus far. Gall went on to defeat Punk in a little over two minutes.
Jackson called out Punk in an Instagram post a couple of months ago, with Duke Roufus, who coaches Punk, recently stating his approval of the fight.
Jackson then took to Twitter to call Punk out once more, knowing that Punk’s coach approves of the fight.

If the UFC does give Punk a chance, this might be the perfect match-up, given each only has one pro-MMA bout — a loss to Gall in the UFC via submission.
