Miller-Adamek Planned For October

Following his confrontation with Anthony Joshua a few weeks ago in New York, Jarrell Miller tried to jump the line in the heavyweight division.

While the Brooklyn born boxer won’t be facing Joshua or WBC champion Deontay Wilder anytime soon, his return to the ring will be a showcase for the undefeated fighter.

Miller is set to fight on Matchroom Boxing’s first American based card for DAZN, on October 6th in Chicago, and per ESPN’s Dan Rafael it may be a one-sided affair.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn, is looking to set the 30 year old Miller against 41 year old Tomasz Adamek, who would be cheered for by Chicago’s very sizable Polish community. The Polish boxer’s biggest fight was a 2011 loss to Vitali Klitschko, where he was stopped in the 10th round.

Rafael also reported that those closer to Hearn have voiced their concerns over how much of a gross mismatch the fight is, and feel it should not be on the October 6th card.
