Miller: “I Will Be A Bigger Name Than Wilder”
Jarrell Miller feels that he will be the face of heavyweight boxing in America, and that his star will outshine that of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
With Miller being the leading contender to face Anthony Joshua this June at Madison Square Garden, Miller feels a win over the unified heavyweight champion sets him ahead of Wilder.
“Deontay is definitely not big in America, he’s a little bigger than me over here but any time they bring up Deontay’s name they bring up my name. For a guy that’s had the belt for over three years, they’ve only just started picking up the marketing and PR behind him,” Miller said to Sun Sport.
“Deontay when it’s said and done, he doesn’t want nothing to do with me right now,” Miller said of Wilder, who is set to fight Tyson Fury in a rematch of their December draw. “I’m way better looking than Deontay and I’m much more marketable – I speak very well and it’s a whole selling factor when it comes to me and Deontay. If it happens it happens, but sometimes you have to have your eyes on one set of goals and attack it full blast.
“Anyone with a title, of course I would love, but I’m going to go for AJ because he’s the closest one right now.”
