Miocic: I’m Not Here To Make Friends

With it nearing one week until fight night, Stipe Miocic claims in a new interview that there will be no friendship between he and Daniel Cormier when the Octagon door closes on July 7th.

Miocic defends his heavyweight title against light heavyweight champion, Cormier, in the main event of UFC 226 in Las Vegas.

And while it seems that both men are on good terms with one another, not only leading up to fight night, but as coaches on this season of The Ultimate Fighter, the Cleveland native told MMA Weekly that “it’s business.” “I always want the best for him, but unfortunately, he’s gotta fight me though. It’s business. Like I said, that’s what I signed up for.”

“I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to fight.”
