Pacquiao Chips Trainer’s Tooth In Sparring

Hours away from taking to the scales, Manny Pacquiao has wrapped his training for his WBA welterweight title clash against Lucas Matthysse.

During their final mitts session, the Filipino boxer/senator would catch his trainer Buboy Fernandez with a wayward punch to the chin, which would chip one of Fernandez’ teeth.

“I can already imagine the action inside the ring,” said Pacquiao, at 39 attempting to win yet another world title against yet another dangerous foe..

“I feel the pressure in this fight because I need to prove that I’m still there,” he said in the run-up to his first fight since a 2017 decision loss to Jeff Horn.

Pacquiao faces Matthysse, who has knocked out all but three of his opponents in his 39 pro victories.
