Pacquiao May Head To Dallas For Spence-Garcia

Manny Pacquiao is eyeing a trip to AT&T Stadium next month, as IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence defends against Mikey Garcia.

Pacquiao, the current WBA “regular” welterweight champion, could be scouting his next opponent following his successful defense against Adrien Broner in January.

“I might go and watch in Texas. I will watch how [Spence] will fight,” Pacquiao told Rappler.

Spence, Garcia, or fellow WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman have been rumored to be next for the 40-year old Filipino senator.

The wild card for Pacquiao can be a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, who defeated Pacquiao by unanimous decision in 2015

“The negotiations are ongoing. There will be updates one to two weeks from now,” Pacquiao said of the rematch.

“If I get to fight Mayweather and make him come out of retirement, that would be better since it would give me the chance to prove that I could win this time.”
