Prazeres To Face Naurdiev at UFC Prague

With only a couple of weeks before UFC heads off to the Czech Republic for its first Fight Night show in Prague, there has been a slight change in the card.

First reported by MMA Brazil, Michel Prazeres will now face Ismail Naurdiev at UFC Prague, scheduled to take place at Prague’s O2 Arena on February 23. The fight was made after Ramazan Emeev, Prazeres’ original opponent for the show, went down with an injury.

Naurdiev is a 22-year-old fighter who has spent his career fighting primarily in Europe before signing with UFC. Naurdiev has won 13 of his last 14 fights and sports a 17-2 overall record as a pro MMA fighter. Naurdiev has also finished his opponent in 16 of his 17 wins.

Prazeres will look to extend his eight-fight win streak stemming from all the way back to 2015 and win his third straight fight at 170 pounds after missing weight in three of his past four fights. During his win streak, Prazeres Zak Cummings, Desmond Green, Josh Burkman and Gilbert Burns and has a 10-2 record as a UFC fighter.

The main event of UFC Prague is a light heavyweight bout between Jan Blachowicz and Thiago Santos, two fighters ranked in the top 10 by the UFC in that weight class.
