Ridwhan Looks to Stay Undefeated At Roar Of Singapore 4

On April 20, 2018, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Ringstar Management presents as part of its Roar Series, “Roar of Singapore 4 – The Night of Champions”. The card features 3 world class championship match-ups from amongst the best boxers in the region.

For it’s main event, Jeson Umbal (Philippines) vs. Muhammad Ridhwan (Singapore) will headline the evening, as the two go head to head for the International boxing Organization (IBO) Featherweight Title, taking the winner one step closer to a shot at a World Title.

The co-main event will, for the first time in Singapore, be for the vacant IBO Bantamweight World Title. Duking it out for the belt will be Michael Dasmarinas (Philippines) and Karim Guerfi (France) ranked 12th and 4th by the World Boxing Council (WBC).

Rounding off the triple header will be Mirage Khan (Malaysia) vs. Chase Haley (New Zealand). These two will meet for the third and possibly the final time as Haley defends his IBO crown, and simultaneously they both challenge for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Light Heavyweight Title.

Ridhwan will walk into Singapore indoor stadium undefeated as a pro, and feels that he will keep that streak going on April 20th.

Ridhwan does respect Umbal’s power after watching him work the heavy bag at a recent media workout, and with good reason. Umball has stopped 11 of 16 opponents before the scorecards, but Ridhwan pointed out that the slower Umbal would need to catch him first.

No matter what comes after April 20th, Ridhwan has one goal, to be the best representative of Singapore boxing.

“My ultimate goal is to be the best that I can be. I want to eventually face great champions in the ring, and win them. Boxing is growing in Singapore but I want the sport to grow beyond just the boxing community. I want the country to have a rich boxing culture and unite the people of my country through boxing. I am on my way there and believe if presented the opportunity, I can do it.”
