Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter Gabi Garcia returned to the ring for her second fight this month at Sunday’s RIZIN card at the Saitama Super Arena to face Oksana Gagloeva. And much like her muay thai fight earlier this month it ended in a no-contest.
A former boxing heavyweight, Gagloeva was making her debut in MMA against the undefeated Garcia (4-0), but the bout only lasted 16 seconds. In the first exchange, Garcia accidentally poked her opponent in the eye, and she couldn’t continue.

After the fight, Garcia commented on the incident and that the promotion is on her side, and hopes to be back in action on an unannounced RIZIN card in October.
“Not with her,” Garcia said when asked if she’s interested in a rematch with Gagloeva. “She’s a coward. She ran. Scared.”
In the Rizin main event, Kyoji Horiguchi impressed once again. Facing Hideo Tokoro in a bantamweight tournament, the former UFC flyweight contender improved to 20-2 in the sport with a vicious knockout in just 89 seconds.
