Following the announcement of Matchroom Boxing USA’s deal with the Perform Group, one of Eddie Hearn’s rivals inked a deal with ESPN+.

One of Frank Warren’s tent pole fighters, Billy Joe Saunders’ next defense of his WBO middleweight title against Martin Murray will air in the United States on ESPN’s new digital platform.

The event taking place from the O2 Arena in London, will not only feature Saunders-Murray, but also the full undercard beginning at 2:30 pm ET..

“I’m delighted that the WBO middleweight world title showdown between Billy Joe Saunders and Martin Murray will be shown live in the United States on ESPN+,” said Frank Warren, the event’s promoter.

“I’d like to thank Bob Arum and Todd duBoef of Top Rank for making this happen. There’s a lot on the line for Billy Joe and Martin and I’m predicting a brilliant fight for the fans. This is a brilliant opportunity for our young guns Daniel Dubois and Anthony Yarde to showcase their skills to the American audience.”

This will be Saunders fourth defense of his title, with his most recent victory coming in a unanimous decision victory over David Lemieux in December, as he aims at unification with Gennady Golovkin.
