Shevchenko Wants Flyweight Title Shot In Chicago

While Valentina Shevchenko may have had bantamweight gold elude her, the “bullet’ is looking for her chance at the UFC flyweight title.

Per a report from Bloody Elbow, Shevchenko posted on her Instagram page, that she is looking at a shot against the current champion, Nicco Montano when the UFC comes to Chicago on June 9th for UFC 225.

Shevchenko made her debut at flyweight in February, when she defeated Priscilla Cachoeira at UFC Belem, which made her defacto number one contender for the title created in December.

Monato became the divisions inaugural champion at the Ultimate Fighter 26 finale in December, defeating Roxanne Modafferi. Monato broke her foot in the process.
