Thurman To Return In August

A month after he relinquished his WBC welterweight title due to a hand injury, Keith Thurman seems to be healthy enough for a return this summer.

According to ESPN, Thurman, who was originally slated for a May 19th return to the ring, is rumored to be returning on August 4th at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.  The Florida native was forced to relinquish his WBC crown after being unable to make a mandatory defense in a timely fashion due to his hand injury, and being out nearly a year after initially winning the title from Danny Garcia in March of 2017.

Thurman is still the WBA welterweight champion, a title he has held claim to since 2013, and will more than likely defend in August.
