Tyson Fury Signs with MTK Global

Tyson Fury was on top of the boxing world when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015 to become unified heavyweight champion. But he has not been in the ring since then, battling mental health issues. He has lost his titles and his boxing license, with an anti-doping hearing set for December.

But Fury has taken a step towards coming back to the ring, as the former heavyweight champion has signed a deal with boxing management company MTK Global.

The company represents fighters including Hughie Fury (Tyson’s brother), current WBO Middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders and Carl Frampton.

“I couldn’t be happier to sign an advisory deal with MTK Global,” Fury said. “It is unbelievable how fast they have grown and how much they have achieved over the past few years.”

Fury has been training in preparation for a potentially big 2018 should things work out the way he wants. Fury is hoping for clashes with the heavyweight kings of boxing right now — WBA/IBA/IBF champion Anthony Joshua, WBC champion Deontay Wilder and WBO champion Joseph Parker.

In fact, Fury was on Joshua’s radar for potential opponents in 2018.

“There are plenty of options for me. Everyone wants to get into the ring for a payday with me. So we’ll sit down and decide who we choose but everyone knows the fights I really want. I want to knock Anthony Joshua out and I want to knock out Deontay Wilder and I believe by the time those fights happen they’ll be to unify the division.”
