UFC Japan: OSP, Andrade Win Big

UFC Fight Night: Japan is under wraps, and light-heavyweight Ovince Saint Preux has once again proven himself to be the master of the “Von Flue” choke.

The rare submission has only been pulled off five times in the UFC, and Saint Preux holds three of those wins, the latest coming tonight against Yushin Okami.

Saint Preux got Okami to the floor almost immediately in the first round, and after surviving a guillotine attempt he moved to set up his favorite submission. The fight was over seconds later, as Okami went out cold.

In the co-main event, strawweight contenders Jessica Andrade and Claudia Gadelha engaged in a bloody back-and-forth affair. Ultimately, Andrade’s strength and tenacity was too much for her fellow Brazilian.

Andrade slammed Gadelha to the canvas in rounds two and three, unleashing a brutal ground assault. Andrade took the fight by a wide margin on all three judges’ scorecards.
