With less than a month until the two men face off in the main event of GLORY 51, Badr Hari and Hesdy Gerges spoke to the press regarding their March 3rd battle in Rotterdam.
Hari, who recently signed an exclusive deal with GLORY, looks to right a wrong eight years ago when both men fought and Hari would be disqualified.
Hari believes that since both men have the aforementioned history with one another, and he has matured over the past eight years, that their March 3rd battle will be a great fight. Gerges agreed with Hari, claiming that there will be fireworks on March 3rd.
Hari claimed that he may need three rounds to get his rhythm if he is looking to knock out Gerges, and claims that GLORY asked who he wanted to fight and Hari claims he’d never duck a challenge.
“(Glory) asked me who I wanted to fight at the moment, Hesdy was making noise… and I don’t duck.”
The Dutch fighter claims that the loss to Gerges eight years ago was not on his mind, but is here to give Gerges what he asked for.
For Gerges, this rematch and any rematch with former opponents would be more important for him at this point in his career than a title shot.
