The UFC’s next pay-per-view show takes place on Saturday in Buffalo, New York, as UFC 210 features a light-heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson. The fight is a rematch of their 2015 bout, in which Cormier beat Johnson to win vacant title.
Since his loss to Cormier, Johnson has proved himself to be the most devastating puncher perhaps in the entire sport. He has won three straight fights by knockout, his latest win coming in just 13 seconds against Glover Teixeira in August.
Cormier had been set to defend his title against Johnson in December, but had to withdraw from the fight due to an injury. It was the second time in 2016 that he was forced out of a fight, his only performance being in a non-title bout against Anderson Silva at UFC 200.
In the co-main event, former middleweight champion Chris Weidman looks to get back to his winning ways after a two-fight skid. He will fight Gegard Mousasi, who has been on a tear in the 185 lb. division as of late. With Weidman trying to avoid a three-fight losing streak and Mousasi looking to finally ascend to the top of the division, the stakes for this co-main event are high.
