The UFC featherweight division finally moves out of Conor McGregor’s shadow at UFC 212, when Jose Aldo and Max Holloway face off in a unification bout in Rio.
Aldo, ten years undefeated before losing to McGregor, has yet to be bested in the UFC by anyone but his Irish foe. Holloway, however, is one of his most formidable opponents to date. The Hawaiian striker is on a ten-fight winning streak, his last loss also coming to McGregor but back before either fighter had neared their primes.
Holloway won the interim title at UFC 206 in December, setting up the fight with Aldo that he has chased since he was a teenager.
