Wilder Calls Out Joshua For Leaning Towards Povetkin
Deontay Wilder is not happy after being put on the back burner by Anthony Joshua.
The WBC world heavyweight champion took to Twitter on Tuesday night, as Anthony Joshua is finalizing terms with WBA mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin.
Joshua was given a 24 hour period by the WBA to sign a deal with Povetkin or risk being stripped of his title, but that does not sit well with Wilder.
“I knew I smelt p***y but damn, I didn’t know the odor was that strong you coward ** b***h. Had the world waiting for 3 months, playing games, just for this moment. You’re not a true champion, you’re just a weak minded coward that’s holding hard metal,” Wilder stated.
As reported earlier on Tuesday, Wilder and his manager were offered an April 15th showdown at Wembley Stadium in London, following the news regarding Povetkin, but Wilder seems to no longer be interested.
“All they had to do is say they were scared to fight. Period. But instead they made themselves look like what they are, not stand up guys. I’m so happy it’s over now. I’ve done my part, the world seen that, so stay in England.”
