Wilder, Fury Respond to Joshua
Anthony Joshua defeated Joseph Parker by decision to add the WBO Heavyweight Title to his growing collection of titles — already holding the WBA, IBF and IBO titles.
Joshua now just needs the WBC title, held by Deontay Wilder, to become the first undisputed heavyweight king since Lennox Lewis. Joshua was not shy about wanting a fight with Wilder next, but stating it’s been tough to negotiate with Wilder and his team and that he shouldn’t have to go to America for the fight.
In response, Wilder took to social media, stating that, in his opinion, Parker was robbed and said “if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
But not to go left unnoticed was Fury, who is aiming for a return to the ring later this year and aiming to reclaim the heavyweight titles he was never defeated in the ring for. Fury was critical of the bout, citing it as lackluster in nature.
