UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and UFC President Dana White have gotten into a verbal war recently, and it all revolves around the possibility of Woodley’s next fight in the Octagon.
Last week, Woodley made claims that a fight between him and Nate Diaz was closer than people realized. White, in response, made an appearance on UFC Tonight to claim that Woodley is “full of sh*t” and that he will be booked in the future to defend his welterweight title against Rafael dos Anjos, who defeated Robbie Lawler in a title eliminator back in December.
As reported by MMA Fighting, Woodley got the chance to fire back at the UFC head in his “Hollywood Beatdown” segment with TMZ.
“I don’t want people to think that I’m full of sh*t, as my boss said,” Woodley said. “And that I’m making this sh*t up. That a fight with me and Nate was never talked about in December and has never been brought up since then — that is bull****. It has. Did I get a contract to fight Nate? No, I did not. So, if I’m not thinking about the highest prize as a prizefighter, I am a complete idiot. I should suicide slap myself.”
Diaz has not fought in the UFC since his second bout with Conor McGregor back in August 2016 at UFC 202.
