Anthony Pettis, Stevie Ray Make Weight For Rematch
PFL’s first event of the 2022 season are all on the mark.
No. 1 lightweight seed Anthony Pettis weighed in at 155.6 pounds while No. 4 Stevie Ray came in at 155.8 pounds. The two meets in a rematch just weeks after Ray shocked Pettis – and oddsmakers – with a submission in the second round.
The winner of the headliner will go on to face the winner of Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Alexander Martinez. Aubin-Mercier was 155 while Martinez weight 156.
In the light heavyweight semifinals, No. 1 Rob Wilkinson weighed 205.8 pounds and his opponent No. 4 Delan Monte was 205.2. No. 2 Omari Akhmedov meets late replacement Josh Silveira, who was 206.
On Tuesday, Pettis said he doesn’t mind being the underdog. But his goal is to win a world title – especially since he’s won a title in every promotion he’s been in, including the UFC.

Ray told FIGHT SPORTS that being the top seed doesn’t really matter. He added that scoring – what has been labeled “Submission of the Year” — the submission over Pettis in June raised his stock as a fighter and that some fans are starting to take him more seriously.

In the questions portion of the event, Couture said if he could’ve faced anyone, it would’ve been Bellator and Pride legend Fedor Emelianenko.
