56-Year-Old ‘Butterbean’ Calls Out Jake Paul – ‘Let’s Get It On’
Butterbean, otherwise known as Eric Esch, is ready to reverse his retirement to fight Jake Paul.
Butterbean may be 56, but the former boxer is keen on rolling back the years once again. His last fight was in 2013, when he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Kirk Lawton.
Thereafter, Butterbean walked away from the sport. While that may have been the case, his record speaks for itself ( 77-10-4). But now he has called out Paul for a fight.

“I’m going to fight one last fight. It’s gonna be one year from now. Jake Paul, if you’re ready, I’m here for you, my friend. Let’s get it on, me and you, Jake Paul,” Butterbean
This is not just a publicity stunt. Butterbean put Paul on notice last year by claiming that he would only come out of retirement to face Paul or Mike Tyson.
Paul has yet to respond to this, but the caliber of his opponents suggests that it is not out of the realm of possibility.
“I’m not a typical boxer, I go out there to fight, I want to knock somebody out, Jake Paul or Mike Tyson.
“Jake Paul runs his mouth too much, he’s never fought nobody, I would love to fight him. He knows about it, I know 100 percent, he knows about me challenging him,” Butterbean
Paul is set to fight MMA star Nate Diaz in August while also having fought Anderson Silva, showing that the ‘Problem Child’ is keen on putting on the biggest events.
