A-Listers Invited To UFC White House Event

UFC CEO Dana White has extended invitations to a roster of A-list celebrities for the UFC Freedom 250 event on June 14 at the White House.

The list of celebs the UFC CEO invited to sit on the South Lawn to witness the unprecedented event live and in person include Tom Brady, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Adam Sandler, Jared Leto, Jason Statham, director Guy Ritchie and Access Hollywood host Mario Lopez, who have all expressed their passion for MMA over the years.

Johnson is no stranger to the UFC, having previously presented the BMF title to Jorge Masvidal. Brady has also been open about his appreciation for the sport, previously listing his favourite fighters during a public interview: Jon Jones and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Actor Statham, speaking to an interviewer in 2011, also said: “They’re [MMA fighters are] the ultimate athletes. They just have so much concentration and mental strength. They overcome their fears and they’re the true gladiators.”

The event will take place on the South Lawn, with approximately 4,300 seats available. At least 1,200 of those seats will be reserved for active duty service members. All seats are expected to be invite-only, though members of the public can apply for free tickets to watch the fights from The Ellipse.
