‘A Movie Where…’: Twitter Casts Tony Ferguson In Fake Movies
MMA veteran Tony Ferguson has been not at his best inside the octagon for some time now, but it’s fair to say that his fans love him regardless of his losing streak.
On Friday, MMA fans took to Twitter to cast their favorite UFC lightweight in fake movies, coming up with all sorts of film names and characters for El Cucuy.
A movie where Tony Ferguson signs with the New York Jets but doesn’t appear for summer workouts because he doesn’t like his current contract. Minicamp sh*t only. https://t.co/sUbQXkrQU8

Ferguson has lost his last three fights after going undefeated for eight years straight.
The El Cucuy was unbeatable from 2013 until he met Justin Gaethje in May 2020. Gaethje stopped Ferguson in the fifth round to make a case for a lightweight title fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
At the end of 2020, Charles Oliviera then beat Ferguson via unanimous decision followed by Beneil Dariush at UFC 262 in May 2021.
Ferguson has quite an aura in the organization, which seems to be the primary reason Dana White and co are not thinking of releasing El Cucuy. However, a few more losses and we may see Ferguson parting ways with the organization.
The UFC hasn’t yet hinted at who he will fight next, but Ferguson is unlikely to take on a ranked opponent.
The lightweight star is spending his days on social media, taunting and enticing the ex-lightweight crown-holder, Nurmagomedov, for a fight that got jinxed several times.
