ABC To Oversee UFC Freedom 250 At The White House

The UFC announced a partnership with the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC) to oversee the regulatory operations for UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on June 14.

As the event takes place on federal property rather than private land, the UFC is not legally bound to a specific state athletic commission (like Nevada or New York). Instead, the ABC will act as an independent third party to ensure the June 14 card meets the highest standards of fighter safety. ABC President Timothy Shipman clarified that the highest-safety standards remains the priority.

• Independent Advising: The ABC will appoint referees, judges, and ringside doctors to handle the card.

• Drug Testing: The event will adhere to the UFC’s independent anti-doping policy, with the ABC providing additional oversight on the collection of samples on fight night.

• The Secret Service Factor: Regulatory officials will have to undergo the same background checks as the fighters and corners.

thoroughly regulated in the history of the sport and has requested that the ABC serve as an independent third party to assist in assembling the most qualified group of judges, referees, and inspectors in the world. The UFC has further confirmed that it will abide by all applicable regulatory requirements in support of this event, including all required medical examinations, pre-bout and postbout physicals, and athlete safety protocols.
